Trips in 2026
At Humanity Abroad our mission is to help those who are already doing it. Those who are from impoverished communities that know what solutions and programs to implement that make a lasting impact.
As a start-up we are expanding our quickly growing network to include projects that provide volunteers the knowledge that their trip down to Guatemala made a difference.
Greece

We will be partnering with Freepackers International to assist in refugee work abroad. This trip we will assist at a local clinic to shadow/assist professionals, administrative work and seeing the sights Greece has to offer. Primary residency will be in Athens where we will be transported to multiple local sites to help with projects.

Guatemala
After a good Guatemalan breakfast we head out to paint a local public school. We will pick up some supplies in town and head out to a local village. In the afternoon, head to a local church building to teach English to an incredible group of single mothers and their kids.
In the evening we will take the time to all sit down together at a local restaurant and have a hardy dinner. When we get back to the Airbnb we will have a chance to unwind, write and take a good shower!

Guatemala: What to pack
Get excited! This week is going to be incredible. Make sure you book through a well known airline. American, United and Delta are a few recommendations.
If you are wanting to bring Quetzales, you’ll have to contact your local bank to get money converted. You will also be able to get currency converted once you arrive in Guatemala, it just might be at a different rate.
Make sure your passport is renewed and up to date! This may be a long process so make sure to do it a few months in advance.
